MOCHA @ the Library

Library Education Arts Program (LEAP)

MOCHA’s Library Education Arts Program through Oakland and Berkeley Public Libraries directly aligns with our mission to provide meaningful arts learning opportunities to children who are at risk academically and/or reside in communities underserved by the arts and cultural programming. MOCHA emphasizes outreach to culturally, linguistically and economically diverse populations in communities that do not typically have wide access to the arts

We offer free weekly 90-minute art workshops at Oakland and Berkeley Public Library branches during the school year. Join MOCHA Teaching Artists in these workshops for children and families. Each week the Teaching Artist will present art related to a different theme, building creativity, socio-emotional, and academic skills through painting, drawing, sculpting, and numerous other art forms.
