At a very young age, we make our first marks in the form of scribbles, dots and splats. This begins our lifelong journey of how we as individuals make our marks on the world. The Museum of Children’s Arts nurtures these explorations across our communities through our programs. Please join us and partner with MOCHA to make your mark on this meaningful work in our schools, libraries and neighborhoods.
For 29 years, MOCHA has been impacting East Bay lives with our artist residencies in elementary and middle schools, free after-school workshops in libraries, and our museum that serves as a center for exploration. Our Teaching Artists are in schools where there is no art. We bring intergenerational artmaking to Oakland libraries to create safe spaces. We foster hands-on engagement in our museum that cultivates our intrinsic nature of self expression through art. As we come together in these shared contexts of creativity, we champion change and provide artists of all ages opportunities to make marks through their own curiosity, expression and originality.
Collaborate with us as we produce spaces, places and programs that encourage and support the next generation to make their marks on our world! Make your mark today by contributing to MOCHA through a tax-deductible donation and help provide outlets for children and youth to observe, imagine, build, shape and paint their futures.
