"Adding art to my class and weaving it in with the curriculum has been the most inspiring part of my ten-year teaching career."
– Bart Alexander, Garfield Elementary

MOCHA offers a range of Professional Development opportunities for educators interested in teaching art as a stand-alone discipline or integrating art into other subject areas, such as language arts, math, social science and science.

In addition to the programs listed below, MOCHA can design a short- or long-term Professional Development program that is specifically tailored to your school’s, school district's or organization’s needs and vision.

Our site-specific Professional Development offerings include workshops, coaching and lesson modeling.

The Art in Open Court
This program links visual art with the Open Court literacy curriculum.

Workshops
MOCHA offers workshops and other trainings at our downtown Oakland galleries and at school sites. Programs can be tailored to the needs of a single school or an entire district.

Arts Learning Anchor Schools
MOCHA partners with Alameda County schools to create comprehensive arts-learning programs.
