Makers' Studio: Adult Art Nights @ MOCHA
Third Thursdays, we invite the over-21 crowd to enjoy artmaking, beer wine and friends. No experience necessary for this creative night out. $8 cover charge (bring two friends and you come free!)
Basketry: Taming Wild Wicker
May 20 | 7:30–10:30pm
Learn to weave and sew using raffia, reeds, plastic, paper and pine needles. Build a variety of baskets and containers.
Special Feature: Once you're wickered out, enjoy the Illuminated Corridor and East Bay Bicycle Coalition's Bike-in Movies in the MOCHA Courtyard!
Valerie Soe's Oak Park Stories tells the story of an amazing coalition of tenant-activists at the Oak Park Apartments in Oakland's San Antonio district who rose up against their exploitative landlord.
Ted White's Return of the Scorcher looks at bike culture and bike lifestyles around the world with beautiful and inspiring scenes of bike use filmed in China, The Netherlands, Denmark, and the U.S.
Admission to Bike-in Movies is free. Donations will be accepted.
