Field Trips
Bring your group to MOCHA for hands-on learning—and fun!
Looking for an educational and enaging hands-on art experience for your school or community group? A MOCHA Field Trip is just the thing! Field trips are designed for children from preschool (18 months and up) to eighth grade.
Before you visit:
- Contact MOCHA to discuss your instructional goals with our teaching artists.
- Review our list of field trip art lessons to choose a topic.
- When you're ready, reserve your date at least two weeks in advance.
We'll send you a field trip packet that includes ideas for activities that will prepare your students and enrich their visit, as well as lessons to extend their MOCHA art experience into other subject areas, such as math, science or language arts.
All MOCHA lessons are developmentally appropriate, based on the California Visual Arts Standards and designed to encourage freedom of expression through visual art.
MOCHA provides:
- an interactive art lesson led by a professional teaching artist
- a guided tour of our exhibits
- your field trip packet
You provide:
- up to 30 children (preschool through middle school)
Cost
$110 per group (cancellations will be refunded only if the teacher or representative calls 48 hours before the appointed time)
