School-Day Residencies
Enrich your curriculum and inspire your students—bring a MOCHA artist into your classroom!

MOCHA offers both short- and long-term School-Day Residencies, consisting of a series of classroom visits led by a professional Teaching Artist. All residencies are tied to the California State Visual Arts Content Standards and can also be designed to link to other curriculum areas.
Long-term Residencies (More than 8 weeks)
MOCHA’s long-term residencies last from nine weeks to an entire school year and provide opportunities for students to immerse themselves in various media, techniques and projects. Teaching Artists work with classroom teachers to determine content, which can be designed to support language arts, social science, science and/or mathematics curricula.
Short-term Residencies (8 weeks or less)
Lessons are typically centered around a specific theme and can be customized to highlight a class project or curriculum unit.
