Medium: Oil on Canvas
I was inspired to capture this painting after finishing the painting “Oakley”. I called it the Valley. When I began to paint, I thought about several emotions one can experience in life. You sometimes feel alone, secluded, maybe at peace and often as if no one cares. The revelation to this painting is that I spent so much time capturing the roughness in the land and the Clouds that I didn’t realized that while painting I capture a sense of hope.
After I completed the painting, it took someone looking at the painting to notice there was an image representing we are never alone. The revelation is we often feel alone in the Valley not knowing that while we are in the Valley, someone is watching over us. Sometimes it takes someone else to point it out.
