CHALK 4 PEACE
Special Family Extravaganza
September 15 | 1-4pm | FREE OUTDOOR EVENT
Join in a planet-wide young artists chalk
project paying respect to the visual concept of
peace. Make your mark and join with other
countries circling the globe including Chile,
Egypt, England, Germany and Mexico. Join one
million artists participating in a weekend of
creative greetings of peace. Help create a giant
community peace sign or draw your own in our

EXHIBITION
Dadaism and Surrealism: An Exploration of Self Discovery
Art by children from the Childrens Shelter of Santa Clara
September 8 - October 28
Visit the Dada House, a building with only one
function art. Many of the residents have
described the Childrens Shelter as the only
place they have felt at home. This Dada house,
created by residents, is a positive symbol of
home and safety. Within the brushstrokes and
designs are the creative marks of many
courageous, resilient young lives. Woven within
the artwork are the childrens stories.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Art for Educators
September 14, 15 & 16 | 4-9pm on Friday |10-5pm on Saturday and Sunday
A hands-on workshop for adults interested in
learning the basics for integrating art into the
classroom. No art experience
necessary. Designed for all adults working with
children in an educational setting.
$250 in advance $275 at the door

FALL CAMP: Two, Four . . . Or More!
Register now for daylong camp studios, held
November 19-21. MOCHA camp features fun and
engaging art activities for kids grades K-6. Each
day we will create, birds and beasts that walk,
crawl and travel with multiple
appendages. Scholarship application deadline: October 15.

MOCHA is raising its rates, effective September
1st. This will help to ensure that we maintain
our quality programming, excellent artistic staff
and our facility creating more opportunities to
have loads of fun and creative educational opportunities.
Drop-in Studios: $7.00 per child Adults are still absolutely free
Annual Family Membership: $80
Educator/Student Membership: $50
With a membership you receive:

2 free passes to bring a friend or two along for the fun
10% discounts on camp fees, party fees and workshops
We are still a bargain for family fun. And no
child will be refused due to lack of funds.
