march 5-april 1
the power of art to tranform education  |  opening reception: sunday, march 
5 from 2-4pm
In Alameda County, March celebrates "Art is Education" month, and MOCHA is 
leading the charge to showcase the educational value of art in making 
learning more accessible and fun for children. This exhibit showcases 
MOCHA's work in school residencies and after school programs throughout 
Alameda County.

This artwork on exhibit demonstrates how art develops imagination, fosters 
creativity and the capacity to envision in all children.

family extravaganza
marvelous mosaics
march 19  | 1pm-4pm  | $5 per participant
All the pieces will fall into place! Learn to create mosaics using tile, 
stones, and found objects.

weekend workshop
lego building
march 25  | 9:30-12:30  | $40 per participant
MOCHA joins with Play-Well TEKnologies to offer a project-based workshop 
designed to teach principles and methods of engineering, using Lego blocks. 
Each workshop will typically include an introduction and short presentation 
by the instructor followed by a design/build assignment.

the art of the project approach
March 17, 4pm- 9pm and March 18-19, 10am- 5pm  | $250 per participant
In this three day, interactive, hands-on workshop, teachers are guided 
through the three phases of project work and learn how to integrate art 
authentically into all subjects.

spring camp registration-register now to insure your place
around the world in five days  | $60 per day | $250 for all five days
Each day we will travel to a different country and explore their 
traditional crafts.

Monday, April 10 |Tibetan Treasures
Journey to the Himalayas and learn to create tapestries, tangkas and mandalas

Tuesday, April 11 | Mayan Masterpieces
Travel to Guatemala and learn the language of the colorful textiles and 
paintings of the Mayan people

Wednesday, April 12 | Russian Renaissance
Explore the traditions of the Russian people, including Matryoshka, 
decorated eggs and Klakhoma laquer boxes

Thursday, April 13 | Australian Walk-about
Take your our Dreamtime journey through the outback, and discover ground 
painting murals and digredoos

Friday, April 14 | Arts of Africa
We'll travel back to ancient civilizations, and learn traditional crafts. 
Make drums, masks and paintings which evoke the spirit of Africa
