once upon a time:
children's book illustrators then and now
september 27 - january 8, 2006

reception: tonight, october 7, 5-7pm

This exhibit pairs the original works of art by illustrators of recently 
published children's books with artwork created by those artists during 
their own childhood.  It's a dreamy mix of styles and techniques created to 
help move the story along and give us all cherished memories while 
discovering literature.  Be inspired to create your own illustrations while 
visiting this exhibit.

Join children's book illustrator, Elisa Kleven, for a reading of her newest 
book, The Paper Princess Flies Again. Elisa will then conduct a hands-on 
workshop using the techniques of paper collage to illustrate.  Bring the 
whole family and have fun.  It's Free!
