Teaching Artist: Chelsea Smith
This camp is an opportunity for young artists to explore the materials, concepts and techniques of sculptural practice. Students will work with clay modelling, plaster gauze, fabric and textile based sculpture, as well as mixed media sculpture. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of sculptural practices historically; from Donatello’s Renaissance works to Louise Bourgeois’s modern metal and textile sculptures to contemporary artists Hew Locke and Nick Cave working in mixed media. Open to all skill levels and experiences.
