Give Us Your Stuff

Let our young artists turn your castaways into works of art!

cdman!
“My daugher got very excited abut how to use some of the new painting tools. It totally opened up the possibilities she sees for making art.”
—MOCHA parent

Let us turn your trash into treasure! MOCHA is commited to using recycled art materials, and we have a reputation for finding innovative uses for unusual objects. Where do we get our "stuff"?
Generous donations from YOU!

PLEASE call before you bring ANYTHING to MOCHA. Our imagination is unlimited but, alas, our storage space is not. If we are overstocked on an item, we won't be able to accept it.

We're almost always on the lookout for:

  • Paper of all kinds, including gift wrap, mat board, shiny paper, sticky paper, tissue paper, or plain old drawing paper
  • Usable art supplies of any kind, such as paint, ink, pencils, chalk, clay and so on
  • Small gift boxes, shoe boxes, or film canisters with lids
  • Buttons, lace & other sewing notions
  • Bottlecaps, corks, babyfood jars with lids
  • Beads, bangles, baubles and other small shiny objects
  • Wire, yarn, ribbon, thin chain, string
  • Calendars and magazines with good (G-rated) pictures we can cut out
  • Decorations, including tinsel, garland, crepe-paper streamers, doilies
  • Fancy things, like feathers, pipe cleaners, dried flowers, shells and pompoms
  • Office supplies, including envelopes, file folders, presentation folders or rubber bands
  • Samples of wallpaper, little squares of countertop tile or mosaic materials
  • Old CDS, CD jewelcases, metal foils
  • Anything interesting! If you look at it and think "This stuff is so cool; I wonder what could be made out of it?," call us, we'll think of something!

Donations from large or small business are always welcome! Call if you have leftover supplies, promotional materials, presentation folders or other intriguing items.

We SOMETIMES accept:

  • toilet paper rolls, egg cartons or yogurt style containers (16 or 32 oz size)

We NEVER accept:

  • Styrofoam packing peanuts or other packing materials
  • Large pieces of Styrofoam
  • Spray paints or household paint or toxic art paints or chemicals
  • Take-out or to-go food containers
  • Any kind of plastic or glass container (except babyfood jars with lids, film canisters with lids and 16 or 32 oz yogurt-type containers with lids).
