NEW Open Studio Residency

“Turning trash into Art”
We will all become ECO artists to guide children in developing at an an early age the importance of taking good care of our environment. The key is to let children explore, create, and be open to discovering art ideas, different mediums.

MOCHA is happy to announce that we have a new Open Studio Teaching Artist Residency with Ximena Vilela. Ximena has followed the mentality of process vs product through her art teaching. She grew up surrounded by artists, developing a strong passion for art . She has been an art educator in the Bay Area for 3 years and enjoys working with children of all ages, including adults. Her love for art has prompted her to learn different techniques, styles. She loves ECO art, printmaking, fashion design, and mixed media.

Open Studio is open Wednesdays – Fridays from 10:00am – 1:00pm. The cost of admission is $5 a person.

“Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.” – Sydney Gurewitz Clemens
